The UAE Floating Hospital in Al Arish, Egypt, has recently inaugurated a new physiotherapy department, as part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3. This initiative aims to provide top-notch healthcare services to Palestinian patients and wounded individuals from the Gaza Strip. The main goal of the new department is to enhance healthcare services by offering daily medical care to patients with prosthetic limbs and those who have undergone surgeries like joint replacements. By providing efficient rehabilitation treatments, the department aims to improve outcomes for patients in a shorter time frame.

The UAE Floating Hospital has been supporting the Palestinian people in Gaza since February 23rd. It is staffed by a team of Emirati medical professionals from various specialties and has a capacity of 100 beds, additionally providing 100 beds for patient companions. The hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities including operating rooms for various surgeries, intensive care and anesthesia units, well-equipped outpatient clinics, X-ray services, a pharmacy, and a laboratory. These facilities ensure that the hospital maintains global standards for field hospitals and offers comprehensive treatment to its patients.

In its initial phase, the physiotherapy department plans to cater to 60 cases, with future expansions and increased services anticipated in the upcoming phases. The department is managed by skilled medical, technical, and nursing teams from the UAE and Indonesia. These teams offer the latest therapeutic techniques and utilize cutting-edge equipment conforming to international specifications and standards. The UAE Floating Hospital serves as a beacon of humanitarian medical aid, exemplifying the country's dedication to supporting the Palestinian population in Gaza during the challenging conditions in the region.
