An Egyptian inventor created a new device that he believed would be his path to wealth, solving one of the oldest problems faced by farmers on agricultural land: birds landing on crops, eating or destroying them. However, this new invention, an alternative to a scarecrow to repel birds, led its creator to prison. Security forces in the Menoufia governorate arrested the young inventor, owner of a metalworking and welding workshop, on charges of endangering human lives, as the new device relies on a domestic gas cylinder that can explode. A resident of the city of Ashmoun posted a video in which he appealed for help, describing the danger of the new device for repelling birds from agricultural fields, which was invented by a young man from their village. According to him, the device could explode at any moment and kill many people. Security forces immediately moved and managed to arrest the owner of the metalworking and welding workshop and his 11-year-old son, with whom the new device was found. It is worth noting that the device invented by the young man is a sound amplifier, very similar to the sound pistols used at weddings, but its danger lies in the fact that it operates with a domestic gas cylinder and a metal pipe, which caused panic among the residents of the area where it was used. Some pointed out that the danger of this device is that it lacks many safety factors. The gas cylinder is prone to explosion, especially as it would be exposed to the sun all day in an agricultural area. Moreover, the young man had not obtained the necessary permits to operate his invention from the competent authorities. They explained that the lack of safety factors endangers citizens, and there is also damage from the continuous nuisance caused by the new device. It emits a sound similar to bomb explosions, with the aim of repelling birds, and therefore the young man did not realize that he was committing several crimes and was not doing anything useful.
