Egyptian Authorities Search for Husband Who Killed Wife Three Months After Wedding

The Egyptian Public Prosecution has ordered the investigation authorities to quickly apprehend the suspect in the killing of the 'Suez Bridge bride' three months after their wedding, and to continue the investigation into the circumstances of the incident. According to Egyptian media, the dream of the victim, Rania, to live a happy life turned into a nightmare that ended with her being killed by her husband in less than 90 days of marriage. Rania had met the perpetrator and a romantic relationship developed between them, which ended in marriage after she believed she had found her soulmate in this man. The bride, who was living her first days as a wife, did not know that her end was awaiting her after she discovered the other side of her husband, who was involved in her betrayal and fraud. During the short period the victim spent with her husband, she began to discover another side of him, different from the one she knew during the engagement period. It became clear to her that he was involved in multiple relationships with women, was cheating on her, and was often mysterious. When the wife confronted him with the truth, family disputes arose, and Rania demanded a divorce from him several times, but the suspect refused to separate from her. As she insisted on her position, he decided to take revenge on her. On the day of the incident, while she was sleeping in her apartment in the Suez Bridge area, her husband took a knife from the kitchen and slit her throat, causing her to die instantly. He then covered her body with a blanket, turned on the air conditioner, and fled the apartment. The victim's family tried to contact her by phone several times without a response, so they decided to go to her home to check on her. After knocking on the door for a long time without an answer, they managed to break it down and enter the apartment, only to be shocked by the scene: Rania was lying on her bed, covered in blood, with a stab wound. Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim, Rania, was recently married to a young man she had met a few months ago, and that their relationship had recently been tense and fraught with severe conflicts after she discovered his involvement with multiple women and fraudulent schemes against several citizens. According to Egyptian security sources, Rania confronted her husband about his actions and demanded a separation, but the confrontation turned into a verbal altercation that ended in a horrific crime, as the husband killed her in their apartment. In turn, criminal investigation teams have intensified their efforts to track down the suspect after he fled the scene, by reviewing surveillance cameras, questioning neighbors and the victim's relatives, to accurately determine his route and apprehend him. Friends of the victim recounted that she had been planning to leave the marital home after discovering her husband's infidelity and was looking for a way to separate without problems. Ain Shams Police Station received a report from the victim's family about finding her body in her apartment. Immediately, security forces moved to the scene of the incident, and through investigations, it was determined that the husband was the perpetrator of the crime due to family disputes and fled after committing it.
