The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has imposed a three-transfer-window registration ban on Al Zamalek SC. This decision comes as a result of an investigation into breaches of transfer regulations. The club has the right to appeal this decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). FIFA stated that this measure is a standard procedure in cases of such violations.
