The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) has imposed a new registration ban on Egyptian club Zamalek for three transfer windows in the case of former Senegalese player Ibrahima N'Daye. Earlier, Zamalek had turned to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to appeal a FIFA ruling in favor of N'Daye. However, the CAS decision upheld the ruling from the international football federation, obliging the white team to pay the player's dues, which exceed one and a half million dollars. N'Daye joined Zamalek in the summer transfer window of 2022 and spent two seasons with the team, during which he played 52 matches in all competitions, scoring 10 goals and providing 5 assists, and also winning the CAF Confederation Cup. N'Daye had previously played for Egyptian club Wadi Degla before joining Swiss club FC Lausanne for three seasons. This is the 11th case against Zamalek where the club is hit with a three-transfer-window registration ban. Previously, FIFA had already banned the club from registering players in 10 previous cases due to outstanding payments to former players and coaches, as well as due to clubs with which summer deals were concluded in the current season. It is worth noting that Zamalek currently occupies second place in the Egyptian Premier League with 28 points from 14 matches, trailing by 4 points from leaders Ceramica Cleopatra, who have played 15 games.
