
The international group DP World announced the acceptance of the first passenger ship at the port in 2025. This event is considered an important step in the development of the port as a key hub for trade and tourism in Egypt. Avnosh Aiyar, acting general director of operations at DP World in the region, noted that this confirmation of the group's ability to participate in supporting the economic development of Egypt through tourism.
"DP World - Suez" is a live center for trade and logistics services, supporting a wide range of cargo operations and passenger transportation to improve efficiency across all sectors. In conjunction with the unique design of DP World - Suez's marine operations, it ensures smooth travel for both passengers and ship operators, supported by pre-existing marine services at the port.
The strategic location of the port and the developing infrastructure contribute to strengthening regional links, the development of marine and tourism industries in Egypt, which reaffirms the status of the country as a key hub for passenger transportation and logistics, enhancing international trade.
The vessel "MV AROUA," managed by the cruise company Saudia Cruises, completed its sailing with 1600 passengers, including ports in cooperation with Arab states, such as Jeddah, Suez, Sharm El Sheikh, and Aqaba.
