DP World Sokhna Welcomes First Passenger Vessel of 2025

DP World Sokhna welcomed our first passenger liner this year, confirming our ability to support the growth of Egypt's economy through tourism. This visa supports the export of the port's capabilities in managing cruise operations and affirms its role as a key gateway for both trade and tourism. The MV Aroya, operated by Cruise Saudi, departed on a journey with 1,600 passengers, following a route through the countries of the Cooperation Council of the Arabian Gulf, including Jeddah, Sokhna, Sharm El Sheikh, and Aqaba. DP World Sokhna's cruise operations are designed to ensure a seamless experience for passengers and cruise operators, utilizing advanced port marine services for hassle-free embarkation, supported by a specialized team handling immigration, customs clearance, and disembarkation of passengers. The strategic location of the port and its advanced infrastructure continue to strengthen regional interaction and contribute to the development of Egypt's maritime and tourism industries, asserting Egypt's role as an important player in international trade and passenger movement. Integrated logistical capabilities of the terminal also optimize the handling of baggage and coordination of shore excursions, allowing travelers to explore Egypt's rich cultural and historical heritage without delays. Avnash Ayer, the acting director of operations in Egypt at DP World, noted: 'Our terminal, modern and upgraded, is designed to support Egypt's growth in various sectors, serving as a key link connecting the world with Egypt and Egyptians with the world.' DP World Sokhna welcomed the MV Aroya, the first passenger vessel, which will arrive in the port in 2025.
