
The Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of Egypt, Hossam al-Khateeb, assessed the trade volume between Egypt and the UAE at approximately $5.5 billion for the past year. He noted that the main positions of trade between the two countries include agricultural products, steel and iron, cables, machines, and equipment. Khateeb stated: 'Currently, there is an unprecedented impetus from the governments of both countries to strengthen economic relations.' He also mentioned that both countries are currently striving towards achieving industrial, investment, and trade integration to ensure supply chains, achieving self-sufficiency, localization of production, and cooperation in creating value chains to ensure additional jobs.
