The median forecast of 15 analysts surveyed by Reuters indicates that year-on-year inflation of consumer prices in Egyptian cities fell from 24% in January to 14.5%. The report, published by Reuters last week, noted that the average inflation rate in Egypt decreased to 14.5% in February, as exceptional price increases observed over the past two years are no longer reflected in the statistics.

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics in Egypt announced on Monday that the year-on-year inflation of consumer prices in Egyptian cities was at 12.8% in February, compared to 24% in January. The data was collected from February 27 to March 5.
