The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources in Egypt announced a new discovery of natural gas in the Badr-15 area in the Western Desert. The discovery has been immediately placed on the production map at a rate of 16 million cubic feet of gas per day. The Ministry stated that it is expected that this discovery will contribute to adding about 15 billion cubic feet of gas to the reserves, from the Lower Miocene marine reservoir.
