The Central Bank of Egypt announced an unprecedented increase in remittances from Egyptians working abroad during the first nine months of the current year (January-September 2025). According to the regulator, the volume of money transfers significantly exceeded the figures for the same period last year. This achievement highlights the importance of these inflows for the national economy. Financial analysts link the growth to the increasing number of Egyptians employed in the Gulf countries and Europe. "These funds play a key role in supporting families and strengthening the country's foreign exchange reserves," the bank said in a statement. The trend is expected to continue until the end of the year.
