Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly held a meeting to follow up on the executive status of projects to develop the textile sector. The development plan aims to increase the collective production capacity of companies to about 40 million ready-made garments annually, compared to the current 8 million pieces, and to reach about 115,000 tons of fibers annually, compared to 5,000 tons currently. The Egyptian government has set a plan to develop textile companies, which includes implementing construction projects and equipping companies with modern equipment. The development plan also includes reaching 133,000 tons of yarn annually, compared to about 29,000 tons currently, and achieving about 198 million square meters of fabric annually, compared to the current 25 million square meters.
