The Egyptian passport has achieved its best ranking since 2014, climbing to 81st place globally in the Henley & Partners index for 2025, compared to 90th place the previous year. This marks the most significant improvement in 12 years. The Egyptian passport allows its holders to travel to 50 destinations worldwide without a prior visa, with the majority concentrated in Africa and Asia, in addition to a limited number of countries in Europe and the Caribbean region. The index is based on the number of destinations that can be entered without a visa, with countries equal in the number of destinations sharing the same rank, reflecting the level of global mobility freedom each passport provides.
