The Egyptian Cabinet's Information Center stated that the new production from the 'Fayoum-4' field will contribute to supporting local supplies, especially during the summer season, to meet the increasing demand for gas to generate electricity and reduce part of the import bill. The center announced that the 'Fayoum-4' well is scheduled to start production in July at a rate of about 100 million cubic feet of gas per day. Additionally, two memoranda of cooperation were signed between Egypt and international companies to accelerate oil and gas exploration. The Cabinet's Information Center confirmed on Monday evening that 'BP' is enhancing its partnership with Egypt in the natural gas sector, being one of the largest investors and partners.
