The film "The Last Message" by director Said Madbuli competes in the official competition of short films at the El-Gouna Film Festival, continuing until the first of the next month. The film featuring Sherin Reda and Farasa Said will be shown on Thursday and Friday of the following week.

The film addresses themes of familial relationships. It revolves around a mother who uncovers hidden suffering and conflicts within her son, while then facing the heavy consequences of her own dependencies, including her attempt at self-suicide. This compels her to embark on a journey of discovery.

Director Said Madbuli revealed the concept of the film: "I created this short film to shed light on the importance of family relationships, especially between parents and their children. It addresses the problem of dependencies, and it is essential that parents listen to their children, support them, and create a safe space at home so they do not seek comfort in other places where they may come to harm."

The screenplay of the film features Dina Maher, in addition to actors Salma Ammar and Mohammed Fathy.

Said Madbuli is a young director who has graduated from the London Film School. He began his career as an assistant director with Hadi El-Bagory for a period of six years, during which he worked on numerous artistic projects.
