
Mahmoud El-Khatib, president of the Egyptian football club Al-Ahly, announced his temporary departure from public activities for unspecified reasons due to health issues. According to the secretary general Hossam El-Hosary, the decision to withdraw from the position was made in connection with the need to pay more attention to his health. Nevertheless, he expressed confidence in the team's ability to continue their work without his personal participation. "My withdrawal from public activity came about due to my desire to restore my health and preserve well-being. I have complete confidence in the ability of our team to live a full life and fulfill their responsibilities without my constant presence," he stated.
