Twenty-four years after the tragic death of the 'Aryan Star' - Suad Husni, the mystery of her death remains unsolved. Now, the Egyptian film favorite Hussein Fahmy returns to this case at the center of attention, having made his first public statement regarding the actress's death. He dismissed the possibility of Suad Husni's suicide, for which an investigation had been completed back in 2001.
Husni asserted that he had been in contact with her three days before her death and that there had been an agreement regarding a joint creative project immediately after her return from London to Cairo. Furthermore, the actor revealed that Husni had withdrawn all her money from London after she had received prestigious awards at the film festival, and urged her to start looking for good scripts for joint work.
Fahmy also noted that Husni was already preparing for a vacation, but the tragedy that occurred disrupted her plans. He claims that the results of the investigation contradict the suicide version, as the body was found noticeably far from the edge of the balcony, which implies that 'she could have died before they threw her over.'
"If Suad had decided to end her life, she would have chosen a simpler method," added the actor.
It should be noted that the official conclusion of the medical expert regarding the death of the 'Arab Star' - 'The Cinderella of Cinema' - who fell from the sixth floor of the 'Stuart-Tower' building in London in 2001, could not have been made in relation to the outgoing days of the medical personnel at that time. Husni's death caused widespread discussion, and to this day there are doubts regarding whether she was murdered, rather than having committed suicide, as the British police affirmed at the time. Many, especially her family, believe that she was murdered.
Suad Husni was born on January 26, 1943, and died on June 21, 2001. She was known by the nickname 'Arab Cinderella' and was one of the brightest stars of cinema, having appeared in more than 85 films and having a rich acting career.
