The Egyptian government has denied rumors circulating on social media in recent hours about an outbreak of avian influenza in any farms. In a statement, it clarified that following communication with the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, it was confirmed that no cases of infection have been detected. It noted that it is conducting inspection campaigns on farms to ensure they are free of diseases. In a related context, the Ministry of Agriculture stated that the slight increase in poultry prices during the current period is due to the sequence of social and religious seasons, during which the demand for poultry and its products increases, confirming that poultry prices during this period are 20% lower than the same period last year.
