Essential Skincare Tips for Healthy Skin

Dr. Safaa Al-Nahr emphasizes the importance of a simple skincare routine involving a suitable cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen. Overusing products can harm the skin barrier and cause issues. Follow her guidelines for healthy skin maintenance.

Essential Skincare Tips for Healthy Skin

Dermatology and cosmetology expert Dr. Safaa Al-Nahar noted that for most women, it is sufficient to use a gel suitable for their skin type for cleansing, a moisturizing cream, and a sunscreen to maintain healthy skin. With the increasing popularity of skincare recommendations on social media, it becomes difficult to determine what to adopt and what to ignore.

Dr. Safaa preemptively spoke out about the excessive use of various cosmetic products at once, as this may harm the protective barrier of the skin and cause problems with the skin cover. She explained that excessive use of skincare products can be harmful, especially if they do not suit a specific skin type or condition.

A skincare routine should remain simple and include only the basic steps: morning and evening cleansing and moisturizing. This is sufficient for maintaining healthy skin without the excesses of cosmetic products, which can sometimes be too aggressive or excessive.

The expert also warned about the necessity to avoid following popular online-trends, which include numerous steps in skincare. She recommended to discreetly conduct peeling, corresponding to the skin type, noting that someone might need daily peeling with oily skin, while others can do it only twice a week.

Dr. Safaa concluded her advice, emphasizing the importance of a simple, yet effective daily skincare routine. She noted that sometimes it's better to give the skin a "break," reducing the use of moisturizing agents or other products, especially after a long day with makeup on.

The expert also highlighted the importance of choosing products that suit the individual characteristics of the skin, pointing out that skin types vary, and therefore products should correspond to the personal needs of each individual. When it comes to specific products, such as retinol and peeling, Dr. Safaa indicated that they should be gradually introduced into a weekly routine to avoid skin damage.
