Ahmed Abou Gheit, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, confirmed that the League represents a strong support for Egypt's position.

"We express our steadfastness and principled attitude in support of Egypt," he stated.

Abou Gheit also emphasized the importance of strengthening the unity of Arab countries in the context of a complicated political situation. "Hope for the future depends on Arab peoples restoring their unity and coordination," the Secretary-General of the Arab League added.
