The medical report showed that the director of the automotive center received significant injuries as a result of the attack. After the investigation, the prosecution decided to release Mohamad Sami under bail of 5,000 pounds and transferred the case to the criminal court of first instance. The court found registrar Mohamad Sami guilty in the attack, insult, and violence, and sentenced him to two months of imprisonment. The court also imposed a fine on the center director for the insult, as well as a fine for damaging the vehicle.

The expert in the field of law from Egypt, Osama Salem, stated that the prominent conviction regarding registrar Mohamad Sami is only appealable at the level of the appeal and is not subject to cassation. Salem added that "the appeal hearing regarding the prosecution's indictment requires the presence of the accused, if the global settlement is not reached before the start of the court session," and noted that "the fine of 50 pounds, imposed on the center for damaging the vehicle, gives the registrar the right to file a lawsuit for compensation, regardless of the symbolic amount of the fine."

The court for the criminal case in Egypt sentenced registrar Mohamad Sami to two months of imprisonment for the attack on the director of the automotive service center and insult, and also imposed a fine on the director of the auto service in the amount of 5,000 pounds for the insult and violence, as well as 50 pounds for damaging the vehicle of the registrar.

According to the investigation, registrar Mohamad Sami came to the auto service center in a well-known residential complex in the Sheikh Zayed area (western Cairo) to install protective coating on his Mercedes to protect it from scratches. During the investigation, the registrar reported that he left his car in the service center for several days, and when he came to pick it up, he discovered scratches and dust under the protective coating. He was disappointed with the quality of work, and when he asked the center director about the reason, the latter replied that the scratches were on the vehicle before his arrival at the center, which he refused to accept. Sami insisted that his vehicle did not have scratches beforehand.

Witnesses from the service center employees stated that a verbal conflict escalated into a physical altercation, and that the parties accused each other, after which the situation escalated into a fight. Subsequent investigations considered video recordings from the center’s surveillance cameras that documented the incident and served as the basis for the prosecution. The recordings showed that a verbal exchange between the parties escalated to the point where Mohamad Sami went on to strike the center director. The director of the auto service filed a complaint, and the prosecution summoned the parties involved, each of whom maintained their positions.
