
During a meeting with the delegation of the U.S. Congress on Sunday, Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry confirmed that Egypt advocates for efforts to strengthen international cooperation. Shoukry expressed hope that this meeting would become a new stage for bilateral dialogue between the countries.
According to him, Egypt believes that consultations at the highest level between Cairo and Washington promote "achieving global stability and security." He also emphasized the importance of continuing cooperation to address existing problems and challenges.
During the meeting, the parties also discussed issues of combating terrorism, regulating conflicts in the region, and other current topics. In addition, perspectives for developing economic cooperation between the two countries were addressed.
Shoukry emphasized that Egypt strives for further deepening cooperation with the U.S. on various platforms. In conclusion of the meeting, the minister expressed the delegation's gratitude for their visits and support for the development of relations between the countries.
