The second phase of the House of Representatives elections will be held on November 21-22 abroad and November 24-25 domestically in 13 governorates. Egyptians abroad cast their votes at Egyptian embassies and consulates in 117 countries around the world on Friday and Saturday. Voters in Egypt began casting their ballots on Monday in the first phase of the House of Representatives elections, which are being held over two days in 14 governorates. The number of eligible voters in this phase is about 35 million. Egypt held elections for the Senate, the upper house of parliament, in August, with a turnout of 17.1%.
