This was announced by council head Essam Amer during a speech at the Egyptian Senate's general session, which was dedicated to discussing several requests related to the dangers of the internet and social media for children. Senator Walaa Ridwan submitted a proposal calling for the regulation of the 'Roblox' online gaming platform, aiming to protect the moral and educational values of children and youth, as well as to regulate online gaming platforms in general. Ridwan presented an explanatory memorandum to the Egyptian Senate, which included a definition of the platform's nature and documented the risks and negative effects associated with its use, foremost among them being inappropriate content for children, the possibility of direct communication with strangers, and the psychological and behavioral impacts on young users.
