Football player of Manchester City Omar Marmoush confirmed the influence of the legend of Liverpool and compatriot from the Egypt national team Mohamed Salah on himself and his teammates from Egypt, noting that his nickname "Mo" was one of the reasons that pushed him to choose to compete in the English Premier League.
"The English Premier League is considered one of the most popular leagues for watching in Egypt, thanks to Mohamed Salah and many other Egyptian players who were before him. The dream of every young Egyptian footballer is to play here," Marmoush said in his first interview after the transfer to "Gorozhan".
In turn, Mohamed Salah expressed support for Marmoush in November of last year, stating: "More and more Egyptian and Arab players have moved to Europe and have achieved success, and Marmoush is truly one of them. I want to stop comparing to make it easier for him in life, and I urge people not to compare him with my successful path."
Salah emphasized the importance of not comparing Marmoush with his successful career, as it can create additional pressure on the young player.
"Let him go his way naturally and without any comparisons," Salah added.
Omar Marmoush will play for Manchester City under the number 7 after completing the transfer from "Eintracht" for £63.2 million.
