The representative of the Egyptian Football Association confirmed that the international player card of Al-Ahly footballer Nigel Gardeshar was received by the association on Friday, January 24. On Sunday, January 26, Al-Ahly club paid the fees and proceeds indicated in the contract of the football player with the football association. According to statements from a local newspaper, on the same day the representatives of Al-Ahly received the player's card and, consequently, his participation in the match against Piramids was legal. In this match with Piramids, new forward Al-Ahly, Slovenian Nigel Gardeshar, participated. The match between Al-Ahly and Piramids took place within the framework of the tenth round of the Egyptian Premier League and ended in a draw 2-2.
