The Rugby Association of the UAE announced the signing of an agreement with the analogous Egyptian organization for the launch of the Super Cup of the United Arab Emirates and Egypt among clubs in the youth category up to 15 years old. According to the agreement, the first tournament of this new competition will take place this year in the city of Al-Ain, after which the UAE will host the second tournament next year.
The signing ceremony took place in the historic coral hall of the Sports Stadium in Alexandria, where the agreements were signed by the general secretary of the UAE Rugby Association Mohammed Sultan Al Zaabi and the president of the Egyptian Rugby Association Hassan Sahb, with the participation of the president of the Arabian and Asian associations Kaysa Zalai, as well as members of the UAE Rugby Association Saudi Abdulla Al Naimi and Fuzia Fridun, the deputy president of the Egyptian Rugby Association Hassan Khaled, members of the Marieam Muafi Association and the president of the Rugby Association of Africa Herbert Mensah.
The tournament will be held in the format of domestic and guest matches, with the first game taking place in Al-Ain in August of this year.
