The players of the football club "Al-Ahli" decided not to join the national teams of Egypt U-23 and U-20. According to official data, there are players in local clubs who have already received a call-up to the youth national teams of the country, but they declined to join them. Nonetheless, club representatives clarified that the absence of the footballers is related to some administrative issues that will be resolved in the nearest future.
"We considered the personal aspects of each player separately, and we must admit that there were some complexities in their participation in the national team," said the club representative.
The U-23 national team of Egypt is preparing to participate in the qualifying matches for the African Youth Championship, which will take place in Tunisia, while the U-20 team is preparing to participate in the qualifying tournaments for the U-20 Africa Cup, which will be held in Cameroon. It is hoped that all sporting aspects will be resolved in the future, and players will join the national team's training camps.
