The national team of Egypt for football under the leadership of Hossam Hassan announced a list of 24 players, preparing for the gathering in March. The gathering is scheduled for March 16, to conduct matches against Ethiopia and Sierra Leone on March 21 and 25 in the fifth and sixth rounds of the qualifying tournament for the 2026 World Cup. The list noted the ongoing exclusion from the team of defender Imam Ashura from Ahmadi.
