Egyptian Al Ahly Club has announced the absence of eight players for the upcoming match against FAR Rabat in Morocco. The match is scheduled for next Friday and will be the second round of Group B of the African Champions League. According to a source within Al Ahly, the team will travel to Morocco without several key players. Defender Nitz Gradisar will be suspended due to a red card. Goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy, midfielders Mohamed Shikri and Mohamed Abdallah, and Ahmed Abdelqader are all injured. Hussein El-Shahat and Ashraf Dari are not considered fit due to a lack of physical and technical readiness. Meanwhile, team doctor Ahmed Gaballah stated that Hussein El-Shahat is continuing his individual training as part of his final recovery phase from a recent hamstring injury. The player will begin participating in group training with the ball starting tomorrow, Wednesday. The doctor also confirmed that goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy has started his prescribed physical therapy program to recover from an adductor muscle injury. Defender Mustafa Esh, who suffered a mild concussion during yesterday's training, was discharged from the hospital today after his medical reports came back clear. He will now begin a six-day treatment program according to FIFA's concussion protocol.
