Egypt's squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco has seen changes. Defender Mohamed Abdelmoniem of Nice has been dropped, while midfielder Imam Ashour of Al Ahly has been called up. He returned to rehabilitation training in early November, but it wasn't enough to convince Hossam Hassan to include him in the squad, especially as the defender has not yet played for Nice. Egyptian coach Hossam Hassan revealed Egypt's squad for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, which came as a surprise to fans. Additionally, midfielder of Zamalek Nabil Imad Donga was left out, while Imam Ashour joined the team.
