Egypt's national football team is facing a crisis in its defensive line ahead of the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco in December, following the confirmed absence of Mohamed Abdelmonem. To address this, the squad now includes defenders Rami Rabie, Yasser Ibrahim, Hossam Abdelmajeed, and Mohamed Ismail. Concurrently, to ensure Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush, who play for Liverpool and Manchester City respectively, can participate in the tournament, the Egyptian Football Association has postponed the friendly match against Nigeria from December 14th to December 16th. This decision was made after FIFA granted European clubs the right to retain their players until December 15th.
