Hossam Hassan said at the post-match press conference: 'I have no comment, everyone is free to choose who they support, and we respect everyone.' He added: 'We are proud of any Arab or African team's performance in major tournaments, including the World Cup, and we will not hold anyone accountable for their support inside the stadium. Our focus is solely on developing and improving the team's level.' Previously, Hossam Hassan had sparked widespread controversy with his statements after the loss to Senegal and elimination from the semi-finals, criticizing the organization and fans, which angered Moroccan fans who attended the third-place match and cheered for the Nigerian team.
