Al-Ahly football club has stripped its player Mahmoud Kahraba of one million Egyptian pounds and sent him back to Cairo. The decision was made following an incident that occurred after the match between Al-Ahly and Ceramica Cleopatra in the Egyptian Super Cup, which concluded with a 2-1 victory for Al-Ahly, and prior to the final match against Zamalek, which will take place on Thursday.
The club issued a statement that said: "Captain Mohamed Ramadaan, the sports director of the club, decided to return player Mahmoud Abdelmoneim Kahraba to Cairo and not allow him to continue participating in the Egyptian Super Cup with the team."
