Emirates Airlines Celebrates 40 Years in Egypt

Emirates Airlines has maintained its commitment to supporting the aviation, tourism, and trade sectors in Egypt for over four decades. Since the launch of its first flights to Cairo and up to today, Emirates has transported more than 10.6 million passengers on daily flights between Dubai and Cairo.

The organization has also provided a significant number of job opportunities for Egyptian specialists, including more than 920 members of the ground handling team. This promotes the representation of Egyptian culture on a global level and creates new jobs locally.

In honor of its 40th anniversary of presence in the Egyptian market, Emirates opened a new store 'Emirates Official Store' at the retail center '5A by The Waterway' in New Cairo. Adnan Kazem, Vice President and Regional Director for Emirates Commercial Operations, noted: 'We celebrate this year four decades of our presence in Egypt, which has become one of the initial five destinations for our flights since the very start of our operations, and we are proud of the expansion of our services for our clients with the opening of the Emirates Official Store in Cairo.'

Additionally, Emirates has opened its new lounge for first and business class passengers, as well as for Skywards loyalty program members, at Suvarnabhumi International Airport in Bangkok. Located in one of the most modern parts of the airport, this lounge has been relocated and renovated for $5 million in the SAT-1 building, covering an area of 1454 square meters and accommodating 250 guests. It uniquely serves all first and business class passengers on two simultaneous flights on the giant Airbus A380, making this lounge the largest international airline lounge in Dubai.
