Egypt and Gulf Countries Launch New Economic Platform

The Egyptian-Gulf Trade and Investment Forum 2025 announced the launch of a new mechanism for economic consultation between Egypt and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. This announcement came in a statement from the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs following the conclusion of the first forum, hosted in Cairo. The event brought together over 900 senior officials, investors, and business leaders, including 400 participants from the Gulf region. The forum was jointly organized by the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the General Secretariat of the GCC, and the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce. The new mechanism aims to establish a common path to boost trade exchange and investments in key sectors including industry, energy, renewable energy, tourism, agriculture, food security, transport and logistics, as well as communications and information technology.
