Mohammed Zaki, an Egyptian, revealed that he has been engaged in the restoration and repair of damaged books since he was only 15 years old. Some of these books are of a more mature age, but continue to endure the trials of time. Zaki, a 69-year-old master, admits that his passion for repairing began in his early adolescence at a workshop in Cairo. The owner of this workshop took him in and taught him the craft, which later became his passion. He has been involved in the restoration of books and their repair by hand for more than half a century, making this process more thorough and valuable. Zaki emphasized that his workshop has restored and repaired thousands of books over the years of his existence.
