The Palestinian film "Once Upon a Time in Gaza" received a remarkable audience reaction during its screening in the international competition of the 46th Cairo International Film Festival. The screening of the film, directed by Tarzan and Arab Nasser, was attended by many prominent figures and stars, including the festival's president, actor Hussein Fahmy, the great actress Laila Eloui, and directors Karim El-Shennawy and Kamela Abu-Zakri. The film had its world premiere at the Cannes International Film Festival, where it won the Best Director award in the "Un Certain Regard" section. It has since been screened at over 20 festivals worldwide. The film features a distinguished cast, including Nader Abdel-Hady, Ramzy Bakkes, and Majid Eid.
