Social media users in Egypt have been sharing an appeal in recent hours for a young man who went missing just hours before his wedding, sparking a wave of concern and sympathy among users.

The Egyptian family, who posted on Facebook, stated that their son, Mohamed Magdy Hassan Abdel Shaimi, 31, has been missing since Wednesday afternoon while heading to work, just one day before his wedding scheduled for yesterday.

The family added that the young man left his home in Al-Saftawi area, passing by the Ring Road near Bashtil train station, heading to his workplace on Suleiman Abaza Street in the Arab League area, in his personal car, but he never arrived at his destination and has not returned home since.

The family noted that the young man's phone has been off since he disappeared, and none of his relatives or acquaintances have been able to contact him, which has further increased concerns for his safety.

The family confirmed they have filed an official report, and security agencies have begun investigating the circumstances of his disappearance and searching for him, but no new information has been received.
