The Iraqi national football team will face the Egyptian national team in an international friendly match. The match will take place on May 29 in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, as part of both teams' preparations for the upcoming World Cup, which kicks off in June. Sources from the Iraqi Football Federation confirmed that the Egyptian Football Federation has requested the Iraqi Federation to organize a friendly match between the two teams in Cairo on the 29th of next month. It was also noted that the Iraqi team will face the Spanish national team on June 4 in Spain to prepare for the World Cup. Earlier, Adnan Darjal, president of the Iraqi Football Federation, had mentioned that the Iraqi national team would face advanced teams from Africa and Europe to prepare for the World Cup, as Group 9, in which they will play, includes teams from these two continents. In the World Cup, they will face teams from France, Norway, and Senegal.
