The last lost burial of Pharaoh Tutankhamun II, belonging to the 18th dynasty of the pharaohs of Egypt, was discovered. The archaeological expedition included representatives of the Higher Council on Antiquities and the Fund for the Study of Contemporary States. They found the entrance and the main corridor of the tomb #64C in 2022 in the area of the Si Valley on the west mountain of the Luxor region. This site is located approximately 2.4 kilometers west of the line of the kings. Writings were discovered that clearly indicate its belonging to Tutankhamun II.
The Secretary of the Supreme Council for Antiquities, Dr. Mohamad Ismail, characterized this discovery as one of the most significant archaeological finds in recent years. All the artifacts found here are an important contribution to the archaeology of the region and the era of the reign of Tutankhamun II. For the first time, a preserved furniture set of this pharaoh was discovered, absent in museums worldwide.
