
The channel's leader, General Osama Rabei, confirmed that the channel is the shortest and safest route between the East and the West.
He added: "The channel is an important global transit route for world trade as a whole," referring to the Suez Canal as "the artery that feeds the global economy and international maritime trade."
Rabei stressed that the channel is a primary option for international trade, contributing to saving time and effort for the ships that express it, and he confirmed the channel's readiness to receive all types of vessels and to ensure their safety during their journey.
