The Central Bank of Egypt announced that 52 million people in Egypt will have access to banking services by 2024.
According to the bank's chairman, Tarek Amer, they aim to make banking services accessible to all segments of the population in order to increase financial inclusion in the country.
"We strive for every citizen of Egypt to be able to benefit from banking services by 2024. We are confident that this will provide them with the opportunity to participate in the economy of the country and raise the level of financial literacy," Amer noted.
