The Egyptian Ministry of Petroleum announces the return of development work at the gas field "Zahr" following the arrival of the drilling rig "Saipem 10000" to Egyptian waters at the end of January.

Return of Development Work at the Gas Field "Zahr" in Egypt

At the end of last January, the drilling rig "Sapura 10000" arrived in Egyptian waters. The Ministry of Oil and Mineral Resources announced the resumption of work on the development of the gas field "Zohr" after this event.

The aim of this operation is to strengthen the extraction of natural gas in the region. This also contributes to the continuation of successful work at the "Zohr" field, which is considered one of the largest in the Mediterranean Sea.

“The return of the drilling rig "Sapura 10000" is an important moment for the energy sector of Egypt,” stated the representative of the ministry.
