Egyptian Stakeholders Lose Due to Trade Contracts

The representative of the Professional Football League of Egypt revealed that the losses caused by the decline in revenue from commercial contracts reached significant levels due to the postponement of the championship due to the Covid-19 pandemic. He emphasized that clubs suffered serious losses due to the cancellation of sponsorship agreements and advertising contracts. "These losses created a challenging financial situation for many clubs, and this requires additional support for them to survive this crisis." He also noted that the league is working with clubs on developing strategies to minimize losses and seek new sources of income. "We are exploring various options, including increasing transactional revenues and attracting new partners for the league to ensure the clubs' sustainability in the face of financial difficulties." Difficulties continue due to the uncertainty regarding the resumption of competitions, which affects not only the clubs' revenues but also the interests of fans. In this regard, the league calls for solidarity and cooperation from all sides to help overcome the challenging situation and ensure stability in Egyptian football.
