Egyptian Port Sokhna Sets World Record

The Egyptian port of Sokhna has set a world record, certified by Guinness World Records, as the deepest man-made port basin built on land, with a depth of 19 meters. The minister expressed his happiness with this global achievement, confirming that it reflects the great development Egypt is currently witnessing in various sectors, led by the maritime transport sector. He explained that what is a source of pride is that this achievement was accomplished purely by Egyptian hands, by workers, engineers, and specialized national companies. The minister's full delegation, including the Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, received the Guinness certificate during their visit to the port, presented by Kanzi El-Dafrawi, the accredited judge for Guinness World Records.
