Muslim circles in Egypt are concerned about the use of symbols and the portrayal within the popular series 'Al-Madah', which is currently being aired during the month of Ramadan. A rise in interest around it has occurred after attracting attention to themes of jinn and magic, as well as the use of magical symbols in the plot. Experts draw attention to the potential negative influence on viewers, especially on youth and children, who may imitate what they see on screen. At the same time, critics have pointed out that some of the symbols used in the series could be taken from real sources, which increases the credibility of their imitation. In the light of this criticism, actor Hamada Halal, playing the lead role, emphasized that the symbols used in the series are part of an artistic creation intended to create a mysterious atmosphere, satisfying the public's desire to explore enigmatic themes. He asserts that a review by the controlling body was conducted before the series was shown, and that it does not glorify current magical practices. It should be noted that in the fifth season of 'Al-Madah', the main character, who returns from the dead, continues to fight with jinn, and also faces a new villain 'Daughters of Iblis'. The plot also describes various changes in his personal life. The scenario was written by Amin Gamal and Sherif Yasri, while the director was Ahmed Samir Farid. Among the stars of this season are Gada Adel, Khaled El-Sawahy, Heba Magdy, Khaled Serhan, and others. The series itself has achieved significant success in Egypt and the Arab world thanks to its non-standard ideas, however, it faces criticism every season. In the fourth season, it encounters a new critical reception from many viewers due to the use of magical symbols and portrayal. According to viewers' opinions, such content might evoke fear in them, as these symbols can be real and cause harm.
