Egyptian singer Sherine Abdel Wahab has filed an official complaint against her former manager, who in turn filed a counter-complaint against her. Sherine filed a complaint on Thursday evening against her former social media manager, Youssef Sarur, accusing him of embezzling $84,000 from her account profits. She then announced her new official accounts on various platforms for her fans to follow her. In a related matter, Sherine also accused her brother, Mohamed Abdel Wahab, last year of exploiting her and selling her social media accounts to another person, stating, "My brother really sold me, and a person affiliated with him took over my social media accounts under an old general power of attorney." Her brother Mohamed responded to these accusations, posting on his personal Facebook account a copy of the prosecution's decision to drop the case his sister had filed against him. He added, "I endured the injustice alone, but the truth is different. I was summoned to the Public Prosecution, questioned officially, and then released on bail pending the case. You were about to imprison your brother unjustly, while he was trying to protect you and your mother and daughters until the last moment. The wicked people around you have lost you and ruined your family." In another development, Sherine Abdel Wahab filed a new report against her brother Mohamed Abdel Wahab last week at the Basatin Police Station, demanding that he not harass her due to past disputes between them. It is worth noting that a source close to Sherine told "Arabic.net" on Thursday that she is currently at her home suffering from severe depression, to the point that she has confined herself to her room and refused to meet anyone in the past period. The source also added that Sherine is suffering from weight gain, which prevented her from appearing in recent weeks, pointing out that she received an offer to perform a concert in Egypt and apologized to the organizers. He clarified that she has suspended her artistic activities completely and asked her team to cancel all her commitments for the current period until further notice.
