Ramy Imam revealed a major conflict that occurred between him and his father, the legendary actor Adel Imam, during the production of the play "Bodyguard". Ramy, who was only 25 years old at the time, directed the play in which his father starred.
On the podcast "Fazzafet Ouy", Ramy Imam recounted that during rehearsals, he and his father had their first major argument. He insisted that Adel Imam perform a specific action on stage, throwing the script on the floor as a form of protest. In response, his father flew into a rage, canceled the rehearsal, and left the theater.
The argument continued at home afterward. Ramy, fearing his father's anger, hesitated to enter the house for a long time. When he finally did, his mother told him, "What did you do? He wants you inside." Adel Imam, still hysterical, started shouting at his son, but then his tone changed unexpectedly. He said, "This is me, your father. A father bites, but only when he feels he has bitten, he bites again. Don't be upset with me."
To Ramy's surprise, his father admitted that his son was right, saying, "You were correct."
Ramy Imam also shared another incident from the late 1970s. He was so impressed by one of his father's films, "The Wallet with Me," in which his father played a thief who snatches wallets from public transportation, that he tried to imitate him. On that day, as a schoolboy, Ramy stole a wallet from a fellow student on the school bus. When he told his father about it, he slapped him, a moment he never forgot for the rest of his life.
