The President of Egypt, Abdel Fattah as-Sisi, stated among his subordinates that the expulsion or relocation of the Palestinian people will be the "first and last point" in the effort to restore peace in the region.

"We do not propose relocation or expulsion (of Palestinians). We speak of the right to establish their own state on the land they lost, relying on international resolutions," as-Sisi said during his address at one of the churches.

The head of Egypt also emphasized that Cairo's position remains unchanged regarding the rights of Palestinians and that it is necessary to find a solution that guarantees their establishment of a sovereign state, based on the borders of 1967, with Eastern Jerusalem as its capital.
